New Artist Opportunities

Our page Artist Opportunities offers new entries:

How about a well-funded 4-month residency in Denmark, Europe? Their website reads: “The MALT AIR residence is located in the heart of the small town of Ebeltoft. It is part of the new cultural centre in and around Maltfabrikken.

MALT AIR offers new, modern residence facilities in an inspiring location built specifically for the purpose. As a resident, you will be accommodated in an apartment with views over the sea and the Mols Bjerge National Park. There is room for four residents at a time: two artists with the MALT AIR programme, and two designers in residence. You will have your own room, your own studio and access to shared facilities.

The built environment of the residence facility is placed in an ‘artist cluster’ with adjoining garden and workshops, which are also used by the long-term residents, who are professional artists and designers. The workshops are equipped with the basic tools required for wood- and metal-work and digital productions.”

Would you rather enjoy nature in the USA? What about the Joshua Tree Highlands Artist Residency?

Established in 2007, JTHAR is a nonprofit artist residency that awards an international community of artists time and space within the natural beauty of Joshua Tree National Park for inspiration. Well-funded residencies of six to seven weeks accommodate a broad range of artistic activity and a gallery exhibition.

Artists selected for this program are at all stages of their careers and work in all media, including drawing, painting, photography, film, new media, installation, writing, interdisciplinary, social practice and architecture.

Last but not least we would like to bring your attention to the Sony World Photography Awards 2019. Photographers from all stages in their career can enter this contest for free. The winners and even the contenders on the shortlist can expect great exposure for their work, along with wonderful cash- and equipment prizes. Yes, there are many entries, but that should not stop you from joining the competition!

More info on these opportunities can be found here.
